India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and decided to field first against Ireland in the Group B ICC World Cup match at Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore.
India has three points from two games. It started with an 87-run win over Bangladesh at Dhaka before featuring in a high-scoring tie against England at Bangalore.
Ireland is coming off its stunning upset win over England, when Kevin O'Brien scored the fastest hundred ever at a World Cup in the run chase, and has two points from two matches. The Irish made one change from the lineup which beat England, bringing in Andrew White for Gary Wilson.
India hasn't made any changes, going into the match with two pacemen and two specialist spinners, including Piyush Chawla.
